The SGS 35106 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding milling applications. Built to Series 51L specifications, it features a 0.25-inch cutting diameter, a 6-flute configuration, and a 41-degree helix angle that promotes aggressive chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The variable index flute spacing reduces chatter and harmonic vibration during long-reach operations. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge. Micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for consistent results across extended run times. Licensed HVAC and trade professionals installing this tool should note the extended-reach design suited for deep-cavity and long-reach milling.
This end mill is engineered for milling operations in a range of workpiece materials including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon steels, and heat-resistant superalloys, corresponding to material groups H, K, M, P, and S. The 0.375-inch length of cut and 1.125-inch reach length make it well suited for profiling, slotting, and finishing in restricted-clearance setups. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard collet chucks and end mill holders. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction conform to conventional CNC and manual milling machine setups. This tool is a single-end design and is not reversible.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production-grade end mill compatible with standard CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and milling fixtures accepting a 0.25-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for material groups H, K, M, P, and S as designated in the supplier specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a properly sized collet or end mill holder torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification before commencing any cut. Verify runout at the cutting diameter before engaging the workpiece. Do not exceed the tool's rated length-of-cut range of 0.300 to 0.500 inches when selecting axial depth of cut.
