The SGS 35104 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built on the Series 51 platform, it features a 0.75 inch diameter cutting head, a 1.625 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length with a 0.75 inch straight shank. The 6-flute geometry paired with a 41-degree helix angle and variable index promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduced chatter during aggressive cuts. The Ti-NAMITE-X coating adds wear resistance and thermal protection, extending tool life when cutting hard and abrasive materials. This is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with right-hand spiral flutes manufactured from micrograin carbide substrate.
This end mill is designed for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, and S. It is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers where consistent dimensional accuracy and surface finish are required. The centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry, adding flexibility in slotting and pocketing operations. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Verify runout at the cutting edge before initiating a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces dimensional accuracy.
