The SGS 35100 is a 6-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 0.25 inch mill diameter, a 0.75 inch length of cut, and a 2.5 inch overall length, this tool is built for rigidity and precision in a compact profile. The TiN finish increases surface hardness and extends tool life in abrasive cutting environments. A 41-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Variable index spacing minimizes chatter and improves surface finish. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in production and job-shop environments.
The SGS 35100 suits applications across a broad range of workpiece materials, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, titanium alloys, and high-temperature superalloys, as indicated by primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S. Its centercutting design supports plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. The regular-length profile and 0.25 inch straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. It is well suited for finish passes and semi-finish passes where dimensional accuracy is critical.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully de-energized and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque retention screws or collet nuts to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and reduce dimensional accuracy.
