The SGS 34825 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. With a 0.250 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length, this tool delivers consistent material removal in a compact, regular-length profile. The 3-flute geometry paired with a 38-degree helix angle balances chip evacuation and surface finish, making it a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills. It is uncoated and centercutting, allowing plunge cuts as well as conventional side milling.
This end mill is suited for machining non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar N-group workpiece materials. The straight cylindrical shank at 0.250 inches fits standard ER collets and end mill holders. Its regular length classification makes it appropriate for general-purpose setups where rigidity and chatter resistance are priorities. Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the collet or tool holder bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Verify runout after installation using a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish. Consult your machine tool manufacturer and shop safety guidelines for speeds, feeds, and coolant recommendations appropriate to the workpiece material.
