The SGS 34511 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 0.375-inch mill diameter, a 1.5-inch length of cut, and a 45-degree helix angle, this two-flute tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and clean edge geometry in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The stub-length configuration provides added rigidity, reducing deflection during aggressive cuts. It is used by machinists and toolroom professionals in CNC and manual milling operations where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical.
This end mill is suited for light to moderate material removal in non-ferrous metals on vertical mills, horizontal mills, and CNC machining centers. The centercutting design allows for plunge entry, giving the operator flexibility in toolpaths. The 0.375-inch Weldon flat shank provides secure tool holding in standard side-lock holders. The stub overall length of 3.25 inches keeps the tool close to the spindle for improved stability in tight-tolerance applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for standard 3/8-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon flat side-lock holders used in CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom practices. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the holder and torque the set screw to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting to confirm proper seating.
