The SGS 33395 is a solid carbide roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. With a 1/4 inch diameter and three flutes in a coarse pitch configuration, this tool breaks chips continuously along its cutting length to reduce heat buildup and prevent recutting. The 0.02 inch corner radius adds edge strength at the tip. A maximum helix angle of 38 degrees promotes efficient chip evacuation. Single-end geometry and a straight cylindrical shank make it straightforward to chuck in standard collets or end mill holders. Machinists and tool and die professionals use this cutter for roughing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials before finishing operations.
The SGS 33395 suits CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where rapid stock removal is the priority. Its 1.75 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length allow work on moderate-depth pockets and slots. The bright uncoated finish is well suited to applications where coating is not required or where the cutter will be run with flood coolant. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional machine spindle rotation. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry in addition to peripheral cutting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide roughing end mill for standard 1/4 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the holder manufacturer before tightening. Inspect the collet or holder for wear before use, as an out-of-tolerance holder will affect runout and shorten tool life.
