The SGS 33350 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) diameter with a 0.02 inch corner radius that protects the cutting edge and reduces chipping at the tool tip. The 1-1/8 inch length of cut (LOC) and 2-3/4 inch overall length (OAL) make it well suited for standard-depth milling operations. An AlTiN coating — marketed as Ti-NAMITE-A by SGS — provides thermal resistance and wear protection during high-speed cutting. The variable helix and coarse pitch geometry aid in chip evacuation and vibration reduction. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in production and job-shop environments.
The SGS 33350 is intended for roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It also handles hard materials as a secondary application. The single-end, right-hand cutting, right-hand flute design is compatible with standard end mill toolholders. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC machine operators. Before changing tooling, confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Because this end mill is not centercutting, avoid direct axial plunge — use ramping, helical entry, or pre-drilled starting holes instead.
