The SGS 33345 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 1/8 inch diameter cutting head with a 0.015 inch corner radius, 3 flutes, and a variable helix geometry that reduces harmonic vibration and improves surface finish at the cut. The AlTiN (Ti-NAMITE-A) coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. With a 3/8 inch length of cut and 2.5 inch overall length, this tool is well-suited for tight-tolerance finish and semi-finish passes in production and job-shop environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials. Hard materials are listed as secondary workpiece targets. The coarse pitch and variable helix design support roughing-style material removal at high feed rates. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration with a straight cylindrical shank fits standard end mill toolholders. It is well-matched to CNC machining centers and manual knee mills requiring a compact, small-diameter corner radius tool with a reduced-shank step-up from 1/8 inch to a 1/4 inch shank diameter.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Secondary application covers hard materials. Part of the SGS Series 33C corner radius end mill family.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm concentricity within acceptable tolerance. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for set screws or collet nuts — do not overtighten, as this can damage the shank diameter tolerance band.
