The SGS 33342 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of workpiece materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for demanding finishing and profiling operations. The tool features a 0.125-inch diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut, a 30-degree right-hand helix, and two spiral flutes that promote efficient chip evacuation. It is uncoated and suited for applications where coating is not required or where post-coat regrinding is anticipated. Machinists and toolroom operators running CNC mills or machining centers are the primary installers of this tool.
This end mill is well suited for contour milling, slotting, and profiling passes in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The long-series designation provides additional reach for deeper cavity work without sacrificing rigidity. The right-hand cutting direction follows standard convention for most vertical and horizontal CNC setups. Applicable material codes include H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous alloys, general steels, and heat-resistant super alloys.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide ball end mill compatible with standard CNC milling applications across material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom professionals using standard end mill holders, collet chucks, or shrink-fit tooling rated for the 0.125-inch shank diameter. Verify runout at the spindle before engaging the cut, as micrograin carbide tools are sensitive to excessive vibration and misalignment. Always bring the spindle to a full stop before changing or inspecting the tool. Follow your machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety codes when setting tool offsets and cut parameters.
