The SGS 33323 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in CNC milling and machining center applications. Built to Series 3EL extra-long specifications, it features a 0.25-inch cutting diameter with a 1.5-inch length of cut and a 4-inch overall length, giving machinists extended reach for deep-pocket and full-depth slot milling. The two-flute design promotes efficient chip evacuation in a wide range of workpiece materials. Manufactured from micrograin carbide, the 33323 delivers consistent edge integrity and dimensional accuracy under demanding cutting conditions. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC setup personnel in job shop, production, and tool-and-die environments.
The SGS 33323 is suited for milling operations on materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless and heat-resistant alloys, titanium, and steel — corresponding to primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The extra-long length type makes it appropriate for deep-cavity work where standard-length end mills cannot reach the full depth of cut. Its straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders with a 0.25-inch bore, making tooling changes straightforward in most machining setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills using 0.25-inch straight-cylindrical shank end mill holders or ER collet systems.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists following shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify collet or end mill holder bore matches the 0.25-inch shank diameter and that the tool is secured to the recommended pull-out depth before operation. Do not exceed the rated speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material and depth of cut being used.
