The SGS 33321 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling operations in a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. Built to Series 3EL specifications, this tool features a 3/16 inch diameter with a 1-1/8 inch length of cut and a 3 inch overall length, placing it in the extra-long category for extended reach in deeper pockets and slots. The 30-degree helix angle and two-flute spiral geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting performance. The micrograin carbide construction provides wear resistance and dimensional stability under demanding cutting conditions. This end mill is used by machinists and tooling professionals in production and job shop environments.
The SGS 33321 is suited for milling operations on a broad spectrum of workpiece materials, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel alloys, heat-resistant superalloys, and other materials corresponding to ISO material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its extra-long length of cut makes it appropriate for applications requiring reach into deep cavities, slots, or step features where standard-length tools cannot access. The straight-cylindrical shank ensures compatibility with standard collet chucks and tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Designed for use with standard collet-style tool holders and straight-bore chucks accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter. Compatible with workpiece material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S as designated in the supplier specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Verify that the collet or chuck is clean and free of debris before securing the shank, and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before beginning the cut. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for tool holding torque and setup procedures.
