The SGS 33316 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of materials. With a 0.75 inch cutting diameter, a 2.25 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length, this is a long-reach tool suited for deep cavity and contour work. The two-flute configuration and 30-degree right-hand helix promote chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction delivers hardness and wear resistance for demanding applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The single-end, uncoated design is ready to run as supplied or can be used as a base for post-coat processing.
This end mill is appropriate for milling operations in job shops, tool-and-die environments, and general machining applications. Primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S cover cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, and superalloys. The long series length type makes it a practical choice when standard-length end mills cannot reach the full depth of a feature. It is a single-end tool, so the full length of cut is available from one working end. CNC machining centers and manual mills with appropriate collets or end mill holders are the typical platforms for this tool.
Designed for use in standard 3/4 inch collets, end mill holders, or hydraulic chucks. Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer. No additional specific model or system compatibility data was provided in the product documentation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with end mill holders, runout tolerances, and cutting tool safety. Ensure the machine spindle and holder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material being cut. Verify radial and axial runout at setup to protect both the tool and the workpiece surface finish.
