The SGS 33315 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built to Series 3L long-length specifications, it features a 0.75 inch cutting diameter, a 2.25 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length. The micrograin carbide substrate delivers edge toughness and wear resistance in demanding cutting conditions. With two spiral flutes at a 30-degree helix angle, this end mill promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. It is uncoated and centercutting, making it suitable for plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops, aerospace, or general machining environments are the primary users.
The 33315 is suited for milling applications where extended reach is needed beyond standard-length tooling. The long series configuration handles deeper pockets, slots, and profile cuts without requiring extended-reach adaptors. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow conventional milling standards for use in standard vertical and horizontal machining centers. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 0.75 inch diameter seats cleanly in ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders. This tool is sold individually and is appropriate for production runs as well as prototype and repair work.

Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the machine control in a safe, locked-out state per applicable shop safety protocols. Verify that the toolholder is clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the shank, and confirm runout with a dial indicator after clamping. Tighten collet nuts or set screws to the toolholder manufacturer torque specification. Inspect cutting edges for chipping before use and do not exceed the manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material.
