The SGS 33141 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. It features a 0.125-inch (1/8 inch) mill diameter with a matching 0.125-inch straight-cylindrical shank, a 0.75-inch length of cut, and a 2.25-inch overall length. The four-flute, spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality. Manufactured from micrograin carbide, this tool delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for demanding cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is classified under SGS Series 1L long-series geometry.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills in production and job-shop environments. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling operations. The long series length of cut range (0.70 inch to 0.80 inch) accommodates deeper features where standard-length tools cannot reach. It is applicable to workpiece material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering a broad spectrum of cast irons, non-ferrous alloys, stainless steels, superalloys, and structural steels.
Designed as a direct-fit tooling solution for 1/8-inch collets and tool holders in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Compatible with workpiece material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe-stop state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, especially given the tight shank diameter tolerance of +0.00000/-0.00032 inches.
