The SGS 33121 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking and machining applications. Built on the Series 1EL platform with an extra-long configuration, it features a 3/16 inch diameter, a 1-1/8 inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry combined with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for consistent performance across a range of workpiece materials. This end mill is typically installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, and general precision manufacturing environments.
The SGS 33121 is suited for milling operations on a broad range of materials, including hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, titanium, and high-temperature alloys, as indicated by material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The extra-long length of cut makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, slotting, and profiling where standard-length tools cannot reach. Its variable index geometry helps reduce harmonic vibration during aggressive cutting passes, making it effective in both roughing and finishing contexts.
Designed for use with workpiece material categories H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, general steels, and high-temperature or titanium alloys. Fits standard straight-cylindrical collet holders and toolholders accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and the tool is secured in a compatible collet or end mill holder with adequate clamping torque per the toolholder manufacturer's specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cutting operations. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or feed rate parameters for the target workpiece material.
