The SGS 33108 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling across a wide range of materials. With a 0.375 inch mill diameter, a 1.125 inch length of cut, and a 4-flute spiral geometry, it delivers consistent chip evacuation and surface finish in both roughing and finishing passes. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting efficiency with tool stability. Manufactured from micrograin carbide, this single-end mill is built for dimensional accuracy and extended tool life in demanding machining environments. It is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and tooling professionals.
The SGS 33108 is intended for milling operations on a broad material range, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, non-metallic materials, and high-temperature alloys, as indicated by workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. With a 3.0 inch overall length and a 0.375 inch shank diameter, it fits standard collet and end mill holders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. The long-series classification makes it appropriate for applications requiring extended reach without sacrificing rigidity.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new installation for standard 3/8 inch collet and end mill holder systems. Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer for Series 1LB tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout tolerance. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Verify collet or holder condition and confirm shank seating depth meets minimum engagement requirements before operation. Observe all applicable shop safety standards for rotating cutting tools.
