The SGS 32825 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and improves surface finish on milled profiles. The three-flute, right-hand spiral design operates at a high helix angle of 38 degrees, promoting efficient chip evacuation in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. A TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating reduces built-up edge and extends tool life in non-ferrous cutting. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The SGS 32825 is designed for roughing operations in non-ferrous metals, making it well suited for aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking applications where aluminum or copper alloys are common workpiece materials. Its straight-cylindrical shank fits standard end mill toolholders and collet chucks. The coarse pitch and three-flute geometry balance cutting speed with chip clearance in softer, gummier materials. The single-end, centercutting configuration allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling in a single setup.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders and collet-style holders accepting a 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification before operation. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates corner radius wear. Verify that cutting parameters such as spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity before engaging the cut.
