Product Description

The SGS 32819 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-efficiency material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 0.01 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a coarse pitch for aggressive chip evacuation. The tool carries a TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating optimized for aluminum and other non-ferrous workpiece materials. With an overall length of 4 inches and an extended-reach design, it suits setups where standard-length tooling cannot reach the cut zone. Machining professionals and CNC operators install this end mill in compatible end mill toolholders for roughing operations.

The SGS 32819 is intended for roughing cuts in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. Its short flute length of 3/8 inch (0.875 inch effective cut length), 1-1/2 inch reach, and 0.23 inch neck diameter make it well suited to slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations where extended reach into a workpiece is required. The single-end configuration and centercutting geometry support plunge entries. This tool fits standard end mill toolholders with a straight cylindrical shank.

Installation Notes

Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as runout beyond acceptable limits accelerates corner radius wear on small-diameter carbide tooling.
