The SGS 32716 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous applications. Built to Series 43L long-reach specifications, it features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length. The micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention at elevated feed rates. Three spiral flutes with a 38-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup in the cut zone. The bright uncoated finish is suited to non-ferrous materials where coatings can cause material adhesion. Licensed HVAC technicians, machinists, and metalworking professionals install this tool in CNC and manual milling operations.
This end mill is intended for use on aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous materials in both production and job-shop environments. The extended reach of 2.375 inches allows access to deeper pockets and slots that standard-length end mills cannot reach. The centercutting geometry supports plunge milling in addition to peripheral and slot cutting. It accepts straight-shank tool holders with a 3/4 inch bore. The single-end configuration is standard for this class of solid carbide tooling.
Designed for use with straight-shank milling tool holders with a 3/4 inch bore. Primary workpiece materials are aluminum and non-ferrous metals (material code N). Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills running right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully within the tool holder to the minimum engagement depth recommended for the holder type before tightening. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
