The SGS 32714 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precise milling operations in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. It features a 0.625-inch mill diameter, a 0.75-inch length of cut, and a 6-inch overall length, placing it in the long-reach category suited for deep-cavity and extended-reach applications. The 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. With a micrograin carbide construction and bright uncoated finish, this tool delivers tight tolerances and consistent performance. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments are the primary users of this tool.
The SGS 32714 is designed for milling non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, and similar workpiece materials designated under material code N. Its long-reach geometry, with a 3.375-inch reach length, makes it well suited for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling where standard-length end mills cannot reach the work surface. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders. This end mill is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with right-hand spiral flutes and no chipbreaker, making it a general-purpose choice for conventional and climb milling strategies on non-ferrous workpieces.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill in the SGS Series 43L long-reach family, compatible with standard straight-cylindrical shank toolholders accepting a 0.625-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with proper toolholder torque procedures and machine setup. Verify that the toolholder bore and collet are clean and within specification before seating the shank to ensure runout is within acceptable limits. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate parameters against published cutting data for the specific workpiece material before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and remove the tool from service if damage is observed.
