The SGS 32678 is a 5-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built from micrograin carbide with an AlTiN finish, it delivers extended tool life and heat resistance in hard and abrasive materials. The 0.5-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 0.625-inch length of cut and a 45-degree helix angle, producing efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. The variable index geometry reduces harmonic vibration during cuts, making it well suited for finish milling and moderate material removal. A licensed machinist or tooling technician typically selects this end mill for precision CNC and manual milling setups.

This end mill is a stub-length tool configured for right-hand cut with right-hand spiral flutes. It performs in a broad range of workpiece materials, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, and high-temperature superalloys, as indicated by primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S. Installation Notes
