The SGS 32632 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (Ti-NAMITE-A), this tool runs at 7/16 inch diameter with a 1 inch length of cut and a 0.015 inch corner radius. The 5-flute, right-hand helical design with variable index geometry reduces harmonic chatter and supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. Overall length is 2.75 inches with a 7/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for use in end mill holders, this tool suits machinists and CNC operators working in production environments.
The 32632 is rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. The Series 55CR geometry with high-helix, normal-pitch flutes promotes efficient chip evacuation across these material families. This end mill fits standard end mill holders and is suited for CNC machining centers handling both roughing stock removal and finish-profile work. The AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance, which extends tool life when running dry or at higher surface speeds typical of superalloy and hardened steel cuts.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, with secondary compatibility for hard materials. Part of the SGS Series 55CR product line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm runout and tool projection against job requirements before cutting. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine OEM guidelines for speeds, feeds, and coolant strategy when machining superalloys or hardened steels.
