The SGS 32619 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 5/16 inch diameter, a 7/16 inch length of cut, and a 0.015 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge. The 5-flute, single-end geometry with a high helix angle supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. An AlTiN coating — marketed under SGS proprietary designation Ti-NAMITE-A — provides thermal resistance and wear life in demanding cutting environments. This tool is sized for end mill holders with a straight-cylindrical shank and is suited for CNC machining centers used by tool and die, aerospace, and general machining shops.
The SGS 32619 belongs to the Series 55CR and is intended for short-reach applications on workpieces made from steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC spindle configurations. Its variable index geometry helps suppress chatter during aggressive cuts. This end mill is a practical choice for machinists who need a single tool capable of transitioning between semi-finish and finish passes without a tool change.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Secondary application covers hard materials. Not center-cutting; not intended for plunge entry.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully stopped and machine power secured per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Consult the SGS Series 55CR speeds and feeds chart for the specific workpiece material before programming spindle speed and feed rate.
