The SGS 32613 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 0.2188-inch mill diameter, a 0.015-inch corner radius, and five helical flutes with a high helix angle of 45 degrees. The AlTiN coating — marketed under SGS proprietary designation Ti-NAMITE-A — provides heat resistance and extended tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. With a 1 inch length of cut and 2.5 inch overall length, this is a long-series tool suited for reaching into deeper pockets and shoulders. It is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute tool with a variable index pitch pattern for vibration reduction.
The SGS 32613 is intended for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its micrograin carbide substrate and AlTiN coating make it a fit for roughing and finishing operations where tool wear from heat and abrasion is a concern. The straight cylindrical shank mounts in standard end mill holders with a 1/4-inch bore. It is appropriate for CNC machining centers in job shops, production facilities, and aerospace or industrial manufacturing environments where close-tolerance milling of difficult alloys is routine.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders accepting a 1/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Part of the SGS Series 55C corner radius end mill line.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank in a clean end mill holder to the shank diameter tolerance specification (h6) and torque the retention mechanism per the holder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout at the tip before beginning a cut, as corner radius tools are sensitive to eccentric loading. This tool is not center-cutting and should not be used for plunge entry directly into solid material.
