The SGS 32575 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 0.5 inch mill diameter, 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 0.0300 inch corner radius, this tool delivers controlled edge geometry that reduces chipping and extends tool life in hard and abrasive workpiece materials. The 5-flute configuration paired with a 45-degree high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiN coating — marketed under the Ti-NAMITE-A designation — provides thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments specify this end mill for both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool.
The SGS 32575 is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, as well as secondary applications in hard materials. Its single-end, right-hand cutting, right-hand flute configuration fits standard end mill toolholders with a 0.5 inch straight-cylindrical shank. The variable index geometry helps suppress harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts, making it appropriate for high-speed machining centers running tight tolerances in aerospace, medical, die-mold, and general precision machining work.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders accepting a 0.5 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Also rated for secondary use in hard materials. Part of the SGS Series 55C end mill family.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician following the machine tool builder's toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lock-out state before inserting or removing the end mill. Verify toolholder bore cleanliness and shank seating depth before tightening. Because this tool is not center-cutting, plunge entry is not recommended — use ramping or helical interpolation for pocket entry.
