The SGS 32341 is a solid carbide tapered end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining applications. It features a 10-degree taper per side, a 1/8 inch small end diameter, and a 1 inch length of cut. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 28-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Built from micrograin solid carbide and left uncoated, this end mill delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for consistent performance across a range of workpiece materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this tool in CNC milling centers and manual knee mills where tapered wall features are required.
The SGS 32341 is suited for milling tapered slots, draft-angle walls, and angled cavity features in aerospace, die and mold, general metalworking, and composite fabrication environments. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry, adding flexibility for complex 3D toolpaths. The tool is rated for use across multiple workpiece material categories including cast iron, nonferrous metals, stainless steel, titanium alloys, and steel. It is packaged individually and sold as a single unit.
Designed for use with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering cast iron, nonferrous metals, stainless steel, titanium and high-temperature alloys, and general steel. Fits standard 1/2 inch collets and tool holders.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Secure the 1/2 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder to the tool holder manufacturer's specified runout tolerance. Verify taper angle and depth-of-cut parameters in the CAM program or DRO setup before engaging the workpiece. Handle carbide tooling with care to avoid chipping the cutting edges during setup.
