The SGS 31625 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling across a broad range of workpiece materials. With a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, 1 inch length of cut, and 4-flute spiral geometry, it delivers clean, repeatable material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for demanding cuts. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and tooling professionals on CNC and manual milling equipment.
The SGS 31625 is suited for stub-length milling operations where rigidity is a priority. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/4 inch in diameter and seats directly into standard end mill holders or collet chucks. Variable index geometry reduces chatter and improves surface finish in interrupted or continuous cuts. Primary workpiece material codes indicate suitability for hardened materials, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, carbon and alloy steels, and heat-resistant superalloys.
Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast iron, stainless and high-temperature alloys, non-ferrous metals, carbon and alloy steels, and superalloys. Fits standard 3/4 inch end mill holders and collet systems.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the drawbar or set screws per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
