The SGS 30797 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of materials. It features a 27/64 inch (0.4219 inch) cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 7/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. The three-flute geometry with a 30-degree spiral helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and balanced cutting forces. A TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction, extending tool life in demanding applications. Micrograin carbide substrate provides the wear resistance and edge retention needed for consistent performance across production and job-shop environments. This tool is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.

The SGS 30797 is suited for milling operations in materials spanning multiple workpiece categories, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, long-chipping steels, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Installation Notes
