The SGS 30775 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in a wide range of metalworking applications. Built to Series 5 standards, it features a 5/64 inch (0.0781 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/16 inch length of cut, and a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. The tool carries a TiCN coating that reduces friction and improves wear resistance at the cutting edge. With three spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, it promotes efficient chip evacuation in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding flexibility to milling strategies. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The SGS 30775 suits light-duty to medium-duty milling operations on a broad spectrum of workpiece materials, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and steel. The small 5/64 inch diameter makes it well-suited for fine detail work, narrow slot milling, and contour operations where toolpath precision is critical. Its regular-length geometry and 1-1/2 inch overall length provide rigidity in close-tolerance setups. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional CNC spindle operation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and manual milling machines that accept a 1/8 inch straight shank. Suitable for workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S per the manufacturer designation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional familiar with cutting tool setup. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or end mill holder. Confirm shank runout is within tolerance before beginning a cut, as the tight mill diameter tolerance of -0.001 to -0.002 inches requires a secure, concentric holding setup. Follow the machine manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut when programming the tool path.
