The SGS 30564 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations across a range of workpiece materials. With a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, 3 flutes, and a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers smooth chip evacuation and consistent surface finishes in contouring, profiling, and 3D machining applications. The micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance suited for demanding cuts. The ball nose geometry allows the tool to follow complex contoured surfaces without losing dimensional accuracy. This is a single-end tool with right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction, standard for conventional CNC machining center setups.
This end mill fits applications in production shops, tool rooms, and job shops running CNC vertical or horizontal machining centers. The Series 5B regular-length configuration is appropriate for general-purpose work where extended reach is not required. Secure the 0.5 inch shank in a compatible end mill holder or collet chuck, verifying runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting tool length offsets. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and depth of cut.
