The SGS 30482 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of materials. It features a 0.1875 inch (3/16 inch) mill diameter, a 0.625 inch length of cut, and a 2 inch overall length with a 3/16 inch shank diameter. The two-flute geometry and 30-degree right-hand helix promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding applications. This end mill is manufactured from micrograin carbide stock and is suited for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The SGS 30482 Series 3B ball end mill is built for profiling, contouring, and finish milling of complex 3D surfaces. It is rated for workpiece materials across multiple categories, including hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, steel alloys, and high-temperature superalloys. It is a single-end, regular-length tool with a right-hand cutting direction, making it a standard choice for general-purpose milling setups in both job shop and production environments.
