The SGS 30435 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with a Ti-NAMITE-A AlTiN finish, this tool delivers heat resistance and edge retention in high-productivity environments. It features a 5/64 inch (0.0781 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/16 inch length of cut, and a 1/8 inch straight shank. The 2-flute geometry and 30-degree spiral helix angle support efficient chip evacuation. The centercutting design allows for plunge entry. Overall length is 1.5 inches. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, profiling, and pocketing in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Its small diameter and AlTiN coating make it well suited for fine-detail work in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and hardened materials. Typical applications include CNC machining centers and manual mills where a small-diameter carbide tool with a standard 1/8 inch shank is required. This is a Series 3 regular-length end mill with a fractional inch measurement system.
Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills using a 1/8 inch straight shank collet or tool holder. Rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and hardened materials per workpiece material codes P, M, K, S, N, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with end mill toolholding practices. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an energy-isolated state before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the recommended engagement depth to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut when working at small diameters.
