The SGS 30023 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in demanding machining applications. This centercutting tool features a 9/16-inch mill diameter, a 1-1/8-inch length of cut, and a 3-1/2-inch overall length. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN coating, it delivers elevated hardness and heat resistance at cutting speeds typical of steel, cast iron, aluminum, and exotic alloys. The variable index flute geometry reduces chatter and improves surface finish. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working on vertical and horizontal machining centers.

This end mill is suited for milling operations across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys. The AlTiN finish extends tool life when cutting harder ferrous materials by forming a thermally stable oxide layer at elevated temperatures.
