The SGS 30019 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in a wide range of metalworking applications. It features a 29/64 inch (0.4531 inch) cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank, with a 3 inch overall length. The four-flute, right-hand spiral flute geometry combined with an AlTiN coating makes this tool well suited for demanding cutting conditions. The variable index flute spacing reduces chatter and improves surface finish. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance required for production environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or manufacturing facilities are the primary users.
This end mill is built for cutting a broad range of workpiece materials including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, titanium alloys, and high-temperature alloys, as indicated by its primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. The regular-length, 30-degree helix geometry suits both roughing and finishing passes. It is part of the SGS Series 1 line and is packaged individually as a single-piece unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for workpiece materials classified under SGS material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the controller placed in an E-stop or tool-change state before inserting or removing the end mill. Use a calibrated collet or end mill holder rated for the 1/2 inch shank diameter and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use.
