The SGS 07390 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and other tight-tolerance applications. It carries a wire gauge size of 33, which corresponds to a decimal diameter of 0.1130 inches (2.87 mm), with a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch decimal) shank diameter. The 130-degree four-facet point geometry reduces walking and improves hole entry accuracy. At 1.5 inches overall length with a regular right-hand spiral and 30-degree helix angle, this bit is built for clean, consistent throughput in automated and manual drilling setups. Solid carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention required for hard and abrasive workpiece materials.
This bit is suited for production and repair drilling in PCB manufacturing environments as well as precision machining applications involving aluminum, copper alloy, cast iron, stainless steel, titanium, cobalt alloy, nickel, plastics, and fiber-reinforced polymers. The uncoated finish makes it appropriate for applications where coating buildup or heat transfer properties are a concern. It is sold individually and is commonly used by PCB fabricators, CNC machinists, and electronics repair technicians working with tight hole tolerances.
The SGS 07390 is rated for use with aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium workpiece materials per SGS Series 105 specifications.
This bit is installed in a standard 1/8 inch collet, drill chuck, or CNC spindle compatible with the shank diameter. Secure the shank fully before operation and verify spindle runout is within tolerance for circuit board work, as small-diameter carbide bits are brittle and susceptible to breakage from lateral loading. Power down and lock out any CNC or drilling equipment before changing bits. Carbide tooling should not be used in applications that produce shock loads or interrupted cuts beyond the material ratings listed by the manufacturer.
