The SGS 07384 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other tight-tolerance applications. It features a 2.75 mm (0.1083 inch) diameter with a 1/8 inch (3.18 mm) shank and a 130-degree four-facet point geometry that reduces walking and improves hole entry accuracy. The overall length is 1.5 inches (38.10 mm) with a flute length of 0.4 inches (10.16 mm). The uncoated solid carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance suited to high-speed drilling in hard and abrasive materials. This bit is typically installed and used by electronics fabricators, precision machinists, and PCB assembly technicians.
This drill bit is rated for use in a broad range of materials including aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium. The regular spiral and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation in these materials. Its heavy-duty grade construction and tapered web configuration make it a practical choice for production drilling environments where consistent hole quality is required across multiple workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style circuit board drill bit compatible with standard 1/8 inch shank CNC drilling spindles and drill presses used in PCB fabrication and precision machining applications.
This bit is intended for use by machinists and PCB fabrication technicians operating CNC drill presses or high-speed spindle equipment. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and powered down before changing or securing the bit in the chuck. Use appropriate speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material to avoid carbide fracture. Solid carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used in applications with significant lateral load or runout.
