The SGS 07380 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit engineered for precision drilling in PCB fabrication and related electronic manufacturing applications. It runs a No. 37 wire gauge size, measuring 0.1040 inches (2.64 mm) in diameter, and features a 130-degree four-facet point that delivers clean entry and minimal exit burr. The uncoated carbide construction holds tight diameter tolerances of -0.0003 to +0.0000 inches. Overall length is 1.5 inches with a 1/8-inch (0.1250-inch) straight shank. A 30-degree helix angle combined with regular spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth holes.
This bit is suited for drilling circuit boards, fiber-reinforced polymers, plastics, aluminum, copper alloy, stainless steel, titanium, cobalt alloy, cast iron, and nickel-based materials. The four-facet point geometry and tapered web configuration make it especially effective where hole location accuracy and surface finish quality are critical. Machinists, PCB fabricators, and precision machine operators will find it appropriate for CNC drilling operations and manual drill press work at controlled feed and speed parameters.
Designed for use in CNC drilling machines, drill presses, and precision machining centers that accept a 1/8-inch straight shank. Compatible with workpiece materials including aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or PCB fabrication technicians familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the spindle and collet or chuck are clean and properly sized for the 1/8-inch shank before securing the bit. Carbide is brittle - avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed rate adjustment, or dropping the tool. Always verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before commencing the drilling operation.
