The SGS 07374 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit engineered for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other tight-tolerance applications. It carries a wire gauge size of 40, which corresponds to 0.0980 inches (2.49 mm) in decimal diameter. The 130-degree four-facet point geometry reduces thrust force and walking at entry, making it well suited for clean, accurate hole placement. With an overall length of 1.5 inches and a 0.125-inch (1/8 inch) shank diameter, this bit fits standard PCB drilling chucks and CNC drill spindles. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed when working through multilayer board substrates and composite materials.
This drill bit is designed for use in circuit board fabrication and repair environments, including PCB shops, electronics manufacturing facilities, and precision machine shops. Its regular spiral with a 30-degree helix angle and tapered web configuration suit it for drilling aluminum, copper alloy, stainless steel, titanium, cobalt alloy, cast iron, nickel, plastics, and fiber-reinforced polymers. Right-hand cut configuration is compatible with standard CNC and manual drill press setups. It is sold individually and fits single-piece production and prototyping workflows alike.

This bit should be installed by a qualified machinist or technician familiar with CNC or manual drill press operation. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Verify chuck runout is within acceptable tolerance before drilling, as excessive runout will accelerate carbide edge wear and degrade hole quality. Solid carbide bits are brittle and should not be used in setups with excessive vibration or lateral loading.
