The SGS 07368 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit engineered for precision drilling in PCB fabrication and tight-tolerance manufacturing applications. The bit measures 2.35 mm (0.0925 inches) in diameter with a 1/8-inch (3.18 mm) shank and an overall length of 1.5 inches (38.10 mm). A 130-degree four-facet point geometry reduces thrust force and improves hole entry accuracy. The uncoated solid carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. Electricians, electronics technicians, and precision machinists working on circuit board assemblies and component mounting applications are the primary installers of this bit.
This bit is suited for drilling circuit boards, plastics, fiber-reinforced polymers, aluminum, copper alloys, stainless steel, titanium, cobalt alloys, cast iron, and nickel-based materials. The regular spiral with a 30-degree helix angle and tapered web configuration supports chip evacuation in shallow-bore, high-precision drilling scenarios. It fits standard 1/8-inch collet chucks and precision drill presses or CNC drilling machines used in electronics manufacturing and light machining operations. The heavy-duty grade rating makes it appropriate for repetitive production use rather than occasional hand-drill applications.
Designed for use in standard 1/8-inch collet chucks on precision drill presses, CNC drilling machines, and PCB drilling equipment. Compatible workpiece materials include aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium as specified by the manufacturer.
Install into a 1/8-inch collet or drill chuck and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production drilling. Secure the workpiece firmly to prevent movement during drilling, particularly when working with thin circuit board laminates. Match spindle speed and feed rate to the workpiece material per standard machining practice for solid carbide tooling. Inspect the cutting edges between uses and replace the bit at the first sign of chipping or diameter deviation outside tolerance.
