The SGS 07347 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit engineered for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and related small-diameter applications. It measures 1.75 mm (0.0689 inches) in diameter with a 130-degree four-facet point, a 1/8-inch (3.18 mm) shank diameter, and an overall length of 1.5 inches (38.10 mm). The flute length is 0.40 inches (10.16 mm). The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers the rigidity and edge retention required when drilling abrasive or hard materials at tight tolerances. This bit is sold individually and is suited for shop or field use by machinists, electronics fabricators, and toolroom technicians working with small-diameter precision holes.
The SGS 07347 is designed for drilling a wide range of materials including aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium. Its heavy-duty grade and regular spiral geometry make it a practical choice for production drilling in both manual and CNC spindle applications where consistent hole quality and tight diameter tolerances are required. The right-hand cut and 30-degree helix angle support efficient chip evacuation in these material types.
Compatible with standard 1/8-inch collets and precision chucks used in CNC drilling machines, PCB drill presses, and manual drill presses. Suitable for use on aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium workpieces per SGS Series 105 material application codes K, M, N, P, and S.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the shank firmly in a collet or precision chuck rated for the spindle speed required by the workpiece material — carbide bits are brittle and susceptible to breakage if run in worn or loose toolholders. Inspect the cutting edge before each use; do not use chipped or damaged carbide bits. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety codes for RPM, feed rate, and coolant application.
