The SGS 07338 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit engineered for precision drilling in PCB fabrication, electronics assembly, and related small-diameter applications. It measures 1.5 mm (0.0591 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 38.10 mm (1.5 inches) and a flute length of 10.16 mm (0.40 inches). The 130-degree four-facet point geometry provides accurate self-centering entry and clean hole exit, reducing delamination and breakout on thin substrates. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance work in demanding materials. A 30-degree helix angle and regular spiral configuration promote efficient chip evacuation in deep or stacked-board drilling operations.
This bit is suited for professional PCB drilling, precision machining, and prototype or production electronics work where hole location and diameter consistency are critical. The tapered web and two-flute design handle a broad range of workpiece materials including aluminum, copper alloy, cast iron, stainless steel, titanium, cobalt alloy, nickel, fiber-reinforced polymers, and plastics. It fits standard 1/8-inch (3.18 mm) shank collets commonly used in CNC drilling machines, drill presses, and high-speed rotary spindles used in electronics manufacturing environments.
Designed for use in CNC PCB drilling machines, bench drill presses, and high-speed rotary spindles accepting a 1/8-inch shank collet. Compatible workpiece materials include aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium.
This bit is installed and operated by machinists, PCB fabrication technicians, or electronics assembly professionals using appropriate collet toolholding equipment. Secure the 1/8-inch shank fully in the collet before operation and verify runout with the spindle before drilling a production run. Power down and de-energize all equipment before changing bits. Do not exceed the spindle speed rating of the machine or apply side-loading force to the bit, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to breakage under lateral stress.
