The SGS 07329 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other close-tolerance applications. It carries a 3/64 inch (0.0469 inch) diameter with a 130-degree four facet point that centers accurately and reduces thrust on thin or brittle workpieces. The 1/8 inch straight shank measures 0.1250 inch in decimal, and the overall length is 1-1/2 inches. With a right-hand cut, regular spiral, and 30-degree helix angle, this bit clears chips efficiently without deflecting in small-diameter bores. It is sold individually and suited for use in CNC drill presses, PCB routing machines, and precision benchtop drilling equipment.
This drill bit is built for production and maintenance environments where tight diameter tolerances are required. The diameter tolerance is held to -0.0003 to +0.0000 inch, making it appropriate for holes that must accept press-fit hardware or fine-pitch connectors. The Series 105 designation from SGS indicates a standard circuit board geometry with a tapered web and two flutes. It is commonly used by electronics technicians, industrial maintenance machinists, and prototype fabricators working with circuit assemblies, composite panels, or precision plastic housings.
Designed for use with materials including aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium. Fits standard 1/8 inch collet chucks used in CNC drilling and benchtop drill press applications.
This bit is installed by a machinist or electronics fabrication technician using a collet chuck sized to the 1/8 inch shank. Secure the shank fully in the collet before operation and verify runout before drilling production parts. Use appropriate spindle speeds for the workpiece material and bit diameter; small carbide bits are brittle and will fracture if side-loaded or run at incorrect feeds. Power down the machine and lock the spindle before changing bits.
