The SGS 07312 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit engineered for precision drilling in printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication and electronics manufacturing. Sized at wire gauge 65 (0.0350 inches / 0.89 mm), it features a 130-degree four-facet point that promotes accurate hole entry and minimizes breakout on thin substrates. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers the hardness and dimensional stability required for tight-tolerance PCB work. A 1/8-inch (0.1250-inch) shank diameter and 1.5-inch overall length make it compatible with standard CNC drilling spindles and benchtop drill presses used in circuit board production environments. Installation and use are typically handled by machining technicians or electronics fabrication specialists.
This bit is suited for drilling fine-diameter holes in rigid PCB materials and similar substrates including alloy, titanium, and nonferrous materials as categorized by material codes K, M, N, P, and S. Its regular spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle provides consistent chip evacuation in these materials. The tapered web configuration adds core strength without sacrificing cutting performance on the fine tip. It is packaged individually (quantity of one per package) and is sold in a minimum order quantity of one unit.
The SGS 07312 is designed for use on alloy, titanium, and nonferrous workpiece materials (material codes K, M, N, P, and S) and fits standard 1/8-inch shank collets and CNC spindle tooling used in circuit board drilling operations.
This drill bit is installed by machinists or electronics fabrication technicians using CNC drilling equipment or precision benchtop drill presses. Always power down and lock out the drilling machine before changing tooling. Secure the bit in a clean, properly sized collet to prevent runout, which is critical at this diameter. Handle solid carbide bits with care, as carbide is brittle and will chip or fracture if dropped or subjected to side loading.
