The SGS 07287 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other tight-tolerance applications. With a 0.75 mm diameter and a 130-degree four-facet point, this bit delivers clean entry holes and reduced thrust force on delicate materials. The uncoated solid carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention suited for high-speed, small-diameter drilling. The two-flute, regular spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation. Licensed electricians, PCB fabricators, and precision machining professionals are the primary installers and users of this tooling.
This bit is suited for drilling through a broad range of materials common in electronics manufacturing and precision fabrication environments. It performs in residential and commercial applications where small-diameter, accurate holes are required. Compatible workpiece materials include aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium. The heavy-duty grade designation makes it appropriate for production environments with repeated cycle demands and tight hole-location tolerances.
Designed for use with standard 1/8 inch shank collets and precision drill chucks compatible with circuit board drilling machines and CNC micro-drilling equipment. Suitable for workpiece materials including aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium per material application codes K, M, N, P, and S.
This tooling is installed and operated by machinists, PCB fabrication technicians, or precision trades professionals using appropriate drill presses or CNC equipment. Secure the 1/8 inch shank firmly in the collet or chuck before operation to prevent runout and premature bit breakage. At this diameter, feed rate and spindle speed selection are critical — consult tooling data or the machine manufacturer for appropriate parameters for the target material. Inspect the bit for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide at this diameter is brittle and susceptible to breakage under lateral load.
