The SGS 07257 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other tight-tolerance applications. It measures 0.5 mm in diameter (0.0197 inches) with a 130-degree four-facet point angle that reduces walking and improves entry accuracy on hard or layered substrates. The overall length is 1.5 inches (38.10 mm) with a flute length of 0.26 inches (6.60 mm). The shank diameter is 0.125 inches (3.18 mm), compatible with standard CNC PCB drilling spindles and precision drill chucks. This bit is uncoated solid carbide, suited for clean, burr-minimized holes in demanding materials.
This bit is intended for CNC or manual precision drilling operations where small-diameter hole accuracy is critical. It handles a wide range of workpiece materials including aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium. It is well-suited for electronics manufacturing, prototype board work, and precision machining environments where consistent hole geometry at sub-millimeter diameters is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use drill bit for CNC PCB drilling machines and precision drill presses accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter. Compatible with aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium workpieces per Series 105 material application codes K, M, N, P, and S.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or electronics manufacturing technicians familiar with CNC drill setup and small-diameter tooling. Ensure the spindle and collet are clean and properly seated before securing the 0.125-inch shank. At sub-millimeter diameters, runout must be minimized to avoid bit breakage. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling.
