The SGS 07235 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other tight-tolerance applications. It features a 0.55 mm diameter (0.0217 inches), a 130-degree four-facet point, and a regular spiral with a 30-degree helix angle. The tapered web configuration and right-hand cut geometry provide accurate entry and chip evacuation in small-diameter work. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 1/8 inch shank, this bit is sized for use in CNC drilling machines and precision drill presses common in electronics manufacturing and PCB fabrication environments.
This drill bit is suited for drilling through a wide range of materials encountered in circuit board and precision machining work, including fiber-reinforced polymers, plastics, aluminum, copper alloy, stainless steel, cobalt alloy, nickel, titanium, and cast iron. It is appropriate for both production and prototype environments where consistent hole quality and tight diameter tolerances are required. The heavy-duty grade construction makes it a reliable choice for repetitive drilling cycles in light manufacturing and electronics assembly shops.
Designed for use in CNC circuit board drilling machines and precision drill presses accepting a 1/8 inch (3.18 mm) shank. Compatible workpiece materials include aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or electronics manufacturing technicians familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and collet are clean and properly torqued before seating the shank, as carbide bits are brittle and susceptible to breakage from lateral loading or runout. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling. Follow the machine manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the specific workpiece material being drilled.
