The SGS 00908 is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding machining applications. With a 0.0313-inch (1/32-inch) mill diameter and a 0.0938-inch (3/32-inch) length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-feature profiling, contouring, and slot milling. The four-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction delivers the hardness and edge retention required for consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This is a single-end, uncoated tool in SGS Series 1825, intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working at small-diameter scales.
This end mill is suited for precision CNC milling operations where small features and fine surface finishes are required. Typical applications include die and mold work, engraving, micro-slot cutting, and 3D contouring on machining centers or high-speed CNC routers. The 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) shank diameter fits standard ER collet systems and small-bore end mill holders. The 1.5-inch overall length provides clearance for most standard setups without excessive tool overhang. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard selection for CNC machining centers and high-speed milling setups requiring a 1/8-inch shank, 1/32-inch diameter ball end mill in a four-flute solid carbide configuration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before torquing the retention nut. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after installation, particularly critical at this diameter where small runout values have a proportionally large effect on tool life and surface finish. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use; solid carbide tools at this diameter are susceptible to edge chipping if mishandled during storage or setup.
