The SGS 00632 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hard-material applications. With a 0.093-inch cutting diameter and a 0.744-inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work and slot milling in tight geometries. The four-flute design paired with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Manufactured from micrograin carbide, the 00632 delivers the edge retention and dimensional stability required in production machining and toolroom environments. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool, meaning it can plunge as well as profile. The bright, uncoated finish makes it suitable for use with cutting fluids and in applications where coating is not required or preferred.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter tooling is needed. The 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard collet systems and tool holders designed for 1/8-inch shank tooling. At 2.5 inches overall length, the extended length classification makes it appropriate for accessing deeper features or pockets that shorter tools cannot reach. Typical users include CNC machinists, toolmakers, and precision machine shops working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals, graphite, and plastics requiring tight tolerances.
Designed for use in standard 1/8-inch collet chucks and ER-style collet holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Verify spindle collet size and tool holder clearance before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing any tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to the minimum recommended insertion depth to prevent tool pullout during cutting. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, and do not exceed the tool's rated cutting parameters for the material being machined.
