The SGS 00435 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, composites, and similar materials. It features a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) cutting diameter with a 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch) length of cut, making it well suited for stub-length applications where rigidity is critical. Four right-hand flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank and 1-1/2 inch overall length are standard fits for collet-based tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and wear resistance. This is a single-end, centercutting tool with a bright, uncoated finish.
The SGS 00435 is intended for use in precision machining environments, primarily in job shops, tool rooms, and production facilities. Its stub length reduces deflection, making it a preferred choice when machining shallow slots, pockets, and contours in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as peripheral cuts. It is well suited for CNC vertical machining centers, CNC routers, and manual milling machines equipped with 1/8 inch collets or ER-style collet chucks.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill in SGS Series 1820, compatible with collet-based tool holders and ER-style chucks accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify collet or chuck tightening follows the tool holder manufacturer torque guidelines. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and confirm feed rate and spindle speed settings are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
