The SGS 00326 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. It features a 1/32 inch (0.0313 inch decimal) cutting diameter with a 0.045 inch length of cut, making it well suited for fine detail work, slotting, and profiling in hardened or abrasive materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed to hold edge sharpness at small diameters. With a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank and 1-1/2 inch overall length, this stub-length tool fits standard collet chucks used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals. Installation and use require a CNC machining center or manual milling machine with a compatible collet or end mill holder.
This end mill is intended for use in precision machining environments where small-diameter cutting tools are required, such as mold and die work, micro-detail milling, and fine slot cutting in metals and engineered plastics. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as peripheral cutting. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional and climb milling operations on most CNC and manual vertical mills.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for CNC and manual milling applications requiring a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank and 1/32 inch cutting diameter, consistent with Series 1620 stub-length tooling standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the 1/8 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Follow machine manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for small-diameter carbide end mills to avoid tool breakage.
